Pinky St. is a series of small figurines from Japan that can be taken apart to mix and match various outfits and hairstyles. [Link]

It has become popular to make mods of existing Pinkies by repainting pieces to make brand new looks and characters. Some people take it beyond just simple modding to make complete customs, which is what I've done here...

I started by making molds of the pieces I wanted to use (the legs, torso and head), then filled the molds to get the actual parts. Hurray for taking a class in 3d art while I was in school, it helped a lot during this process!

Once the pieces were dry, I sanded them and put them together to make the basic model. Using a variety of clays and epoxys, along with other material, I filled out the figure into the character I wanted.

Most of you by now know Asphy. ^_~

Asphydel is my own World of Warcraft character, an undead mage. But as the years have gone by, you also know that she has sorta taken on her own unique look and personality... Therefore, she doesn't quite look exactly like WoW's models anymore.

As I said before, the clothie robes always tend to be a mess of colors and patterns, something I didn't want to mess with in 3d, so I created my own cute little outfit for her (which, I tend to do anyways, I don't think I've ever drawn her in real WoW clothes...). But I also wanted to keep her a little grounded in the world she's come from, so I included some small details, such as the portal stone she's holding and her staff.

Which leads me on a small tangent here... Back in the days of BWL, my guild had downed Neffie-poo I don't know how many times. A lot, that's for sure! And he had this really neat looking staff (see above), but it never once dropped, much to the disappointment of a long line of casters waiting for it. So for the fun of it, I decided to give it to her (she's very happy, btw) as a little tribute to those runs.

She stands upon a small circular base painted to look like the stones of the Undercity, along with her favorite pet, the rare and elusive Scorchling!
