As the title implies, I am moving! To a house!

Okay, well, it's a crappy house, previously owned by Villy's brother, who wants to move back home and doesn't want the hassle of selling it I guess. It was sort of dropped on us a week and a half ago. And boy, when he said he wanted to move soon, he meant it. He came in and started packing up all our stuff... O_o I wasn't exactly thrilled. Especially considering he hasn't cleaned up ANYTHING over on the other end. I guess he expected us to do it...? Yeah, right.

Heh, so I've been stuck here all week so far with no movies and barely any clothes. >.<

But we get to paint! I love painting. We will have the prettiest walls ever, much better than splotchy green/yellow walls that's there now. And pretty rugs. I wanted carpet but everyone seriously flipped out when I asked about it. Apparently carpet is like, a big taboo down here?? *shrugs* All I was told was that "since it's warm, there is no need for carpet." Of course, I don't follow that logic, what does warm have to do with carpet? I just keep picturing gross, sweaty footprints on that ugly wood floor... Ewww!

There's a nice sized yard too, so I think Imma pick up a new hobby: gardening! Hahaha! I know nothing about it except that my mom couldn't keep a plant alive if her own life depended on it. ^_~ I just hope I don't inherit that... I've already got a little pot of strawberries, and we want to get tomatoes and corn and a few other things. I'm trying to decide what kind of flowers I want in the front, though I do know I want to try asphodels. It's fitting!

ANYways! After all this moving and cleaning and painting and planting crap is all out of the way, I have new arts to color! Mostly some new stickers for this years conventions, but some other things too.

Btw, I'm paying $200 for someone to code FaerieStories for me. So if you or a friend or someone you know can do that kind of stuff and wants to make a little money, send 'em my way!

I agree with your opinion about carpets <3 Carpets are awesome =) I'm not really a fan of hardwood or tiled floors. (though I don't mind them)

It's too cold here to keep a year long garden, but we have a bunch of houseplants. All of them are dying =S It might have something to do with the -40 weather we've had lately XD I hope you have better luck!

I hope you like you're new home =)

Carpets are a nightmare to clean, but nothing beets the soft feel of a nice, warm carpet underfoot. Also, It's hard to fall over on a carpet. With hardwood, it happens every three steps.

Wait you have like, natural wood floors?! Why would you want to cover up nice wood with carpet? I hate carpet, personally, it's difficult to clean, and they soak up smells. Buit here's a compromise for you, get area rugs in stead of carpet. Area rugs are awesome because they come in different patterns and sizes, and you can move them around!

And vegetable gardens are sooo awesome.

Well, the thing is, it isn't a nice looking floor, it's all scratched up and has a HUGE deep slice going all the way through the living room, from what I can only assume was from dog nails? No idea. They have a big indoor dog though, so it fits.

But did they have to freak out like they did?? You'd think I was asking for infants to be sacraficed in my name or something... O_o

Anyways, yeah, we compromised on some giant rugs, I just need them to fork over the money to order them is all... ^_^

And OMG YES! I can't wait to start a garden!

I agree.

To me, carpet seems easier to clean. You vaccuum... And occassionally sprinkle some smelly good stuff on it before you vaccuum.

Hard floors, you have to sweep to get all the little things up, then you have to mix mop water and mop it all, then wait for it to dry and hope no one steps in it...

But infant sacrifice is all the rage in interior decorating now!

Good luck...and may Mr. Clean smile upon you.

Loners, outcasts, deviants, lend me your ears. Too long have the shadows been our shelter. Let us step forth and take down the Norms a peg. Let them embrace the shadows and learn that they are NOT the norm. THEY ARE THE MINORITY!

Heeheehee.

Yeah, it's pretty gross so far, should be better once all the other guys stuff is out and we can paint.
